Amber Michelle Baker was born on September 19, 2005. Her parents are Derek and Helena Baker. When Amber was a child, she wanted to be a veterinarian, she now plans to attend Mineral Area to study Business Management. Three words that describe Amber are intelligent, considerate, and supportive. When asked about her favorite teacher, she states “I don’t have a favorite teacher, multiple have helped me through the years with school and personal life, and I thank all of them for their support.” Amber's favorite school memory is having first graders hang on her arms while helping Mr. Hopkins during summer school.
When asked what she will miss about high school, Amber says “chill, fun classes and teachers.” If Amber could travel anywhere in the world, she would travel to Germany because she's always wanted to see the historical sites like the Berlin Wall. She is involved in Beta, and she was a member of FBLA her freshman year. Amber's advice to underclassmen is “set goals and stay focused.” When asked her thoughts on graduating she says, “I’m ready to move on to greater things.” The person who has the greatest impact on her is her mom because she has always put up with her, takes care of the family and house, and still stays sane. Amber's biggest accomplishment is staying alive.
