Rhodie Elizabeth Long was born on November 18, 2005. Her parents are Gary and Sherry Long. Rhodie has two siblings; Dakota and Mollie Long. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Braswell because she teaches not only important school subjects but also important life lessons. Rhodie’s favorite staff quote is “The cardinal is a very fierce bird”- Mr. Layton. When asked to describe herself in three words she said generous, athletic, and caring. If she could travel anywhere in the world she would travel to Bora Bora, because of the pretty sites and all the fun swimming pools. Her favorite school memory is when she got her card flipped in kindergarten because the boys took her ponytail at nap time and started shooting it across the room.
When Rhodie was a child, she wanted to be a teacher, she now plans to attend Mineral Area College to play softball and pursue a nursing degree in hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse. Rhodie is involved in FFA and Beta Club and is a member of the softball, basketball, and volleyball teams. Her advice to underclassmen is to “participate in things and make the most out of your high school years because the next thing you know it's all gone in a blink of an eye.” When asked how she feels about graduating she said, “Excited but also nervous to see what the future holds.” The thing Rhodie will miss most about high school is seeing her friends and the people she has spent the last thirteen years with. The person who has had the greatest influence on Rhodie’s life is her mother because she has taught her so many important life lessons, she wouldn’t know where she would be without her. Rhodie feels her biggest accomplishment so far is getting a scholarship to play softball at the next level, it has been one of her dreams since she was a little girl.
