Picture of Presley Ridings

Presley Clementine Ridings was born on December 21, 2005. Presley is the daughter of Joe and Shannon Ridings and has one sibling, Schell Ridings. Her favorite teachers are Mr. Shrum, Mr. Boyer, and Mr. Ridings. When asked her favorite staff quote that has stuck with her throughout high school, Presley says “Mr. Layton has said some very wise things to me, but I can’t remember what he has said.” Three words that describe Presley are exuberant, charismatic, and considerate. If she could travel anywhere in the world, it would be Alaska to see the northern lights or Hawaii/Jamaica because of how earthy they are. Presley's favorite memories are winning their senior homecoming dance with all 10’s and having a senior sleepover at Mr. Kinder’s house. Her most embarrassing high school memory is her freshman year when she had to walk with Jaden Deck for a pep rally and almost no one cheered for them.

When Presley was a child, she wanted to be a firefighter because she didn’t know how to spell veterinarian. As of right now Presley plans to go to Mineral Area College to run cross country and is interested in orthodontics. She is involved in FFA, FBLA, FCCLA, FCA, Beta, Pep Club, and Lighthouse Leadership. She also participates in Cross Country and Track and Field. Presley’s advice to younger classmen is “Don’t take anything for granted and try to appreciate the little things. Pray to acknowledge the present because it’s easy to get caught up in the future.” When asked how she feels about graduating Presley says, “I’m excited to experience something new but I do NOT want to do it without my friends and family.” The thing Presley will miss most about high school is being with her favorite people and doing fun things every day. The person that has the greatest influence on her is Neby or her mom because they help her through everything and take some ease off of the stuff she stresses about. Presley's biggest accomplishment so far is making it to the state cross country meet every single year of high school and placing individually at her last state meet!
