Jazzilyn Fulton Senior Pictur

Jazzilyn Jersey Fulton was born on January 18, 2007, to Christine and Christopher Fulton. She has five siblings: Coleson, Lincoln, Austin, Kaylee, and Alyvea. Jazzilyn’s favorite teachers are Mrs. Kinder and Ms. Page, whom she looks up to greatly. She says, “I admire them because they embody qualities and values I aspire to have. Overall, they serve as role models, guiding me to become the best version of myself.” Her favorite quote from staff comes from Mrs. Kinder: “I forgot.” Jazzilyn would use the words thoughtful, honest, and insightful to describe herself. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would choose to go to Iceland because she has found its landscapes stunning since she was a child. She believes it's the perfect place to view the Northern Lights. Her favorite high school memories include sneaking her bunnies into school and enjoying everyone’s reactions. As a child, she wanted to be a veterinarian because she loved animals and wanted to help them stay happy and healthy. She also discovered that she found it easier to connect with animals than with people.

After high school, Jazzilyn plans to attend college and study secondary education to teach math, with aspirations of later becoming a high school counselor. She is involved in BETA, FBLA, and FFA. Her advice to underclassmen is to not let the workload overwhelm them. She emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between school and free time, encouraging them to take breaks and enjoy their high school experience. When asked how she feels about graduating, she states, “I feel anxious about graduating. This is the first time in my life that I will be leaving what has been comfortable for me and will have to start making decisions for myself. Not to mention, I will be leaving the teachers I’ve grown close to over the years.” The thing she will miss the most about high school is the daily schedule, which has become a comforting part of her life. She says that having everything laid out and knowing where she had to be at all times has brought her comfort and leaving that will be difficult.

The person who has had the greatest influence on her is Mrs. Kinder. Jazzilyn shares, “Although I didn't like her at first, she has become one of the most important people in my life. I aspire to be like her in the future by helping other students and making a difference in their lives.” She feels that her biggest accomplishment this year is how far she has come. “Looking back, I’ve overcome many challenges and grown significantly as a person. My journey has had its fair share of ups and downs, some worse than others, but above all, I made it through and am here today to tell the story.”
