MaKenzie Russell Senior Picture

MaKenzie Ann Russell was born on November 17, 2005, to Jessica Russell. MaKenzie’s favorite teachers are Mrs. Newell, Megan, and Jen, as she feels they have supported her in countless ways. Throughout high school, MaKenzie has learned the importance of enjoying and appreciating her youth, as high school passes by quickly. When asked to describe herself in three words, MaKenzie chose caring, loving, and different. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would choose to go to Hawaii because she loves beaches and sunsets. Her favorite school memories from high school include conversations with Mrs. Newell, Megan, and Jen. Her most embarrassing moment during high school was when she ripped her pants in gym class.

As a child, MaKenzie dreamed of becoming a photographer and a cosmetologist. After high school, she plans to enter the workforce immediately. Her advice to underclassmen is, “Cherish the moments you create because high school doesn’t last forever.” MaKenzie feels both happy and nervous about graduating. She will miss being able to escape the outside world the most. The people who have influenced her the most are Jesus, her mom, Mrs. Newell, and Megan, as they encouraged her and reminded her to “fake it till I make it.” MaKenzie believes her biggest accomplishment so far comes from her perseverance and self-discipline, which have allowed her to achieve good grades while maintaining a positive attitude.

Shoutouts: Mrs. Newell, Megan, and Jen.
