Andrew Tarble senior picture

Andrew Michael Tarble was born on March 8, 2007, to Christina Tarble and Jeff Tarble. His favorite teacher is Ms. Page, as she has been his advisory teacher and has supported him throughout his years in school. His favorite quote from a staff member is from Mr. Layton: “Tarble, you look dumber than usual.” Three words Andrew would use to describe himself are extroverted, free-spirited, and standout. If he could travel anywhere in the world, he would choose the Bahamas so he can swim. His favorite school memory is when they had a snowball fight in the parking lot after basketball practice. Andrew’s most embarrassing high school memory is when Mr. Shrum gave him a buzz cut in the middle of class. As a child, he dreamed of becoming an astronaut. After high school, he plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) to study marketing and accounting.

Andrew is involved in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Student Council, and Speech, and he participates in both the basketball and track and field teams. His advice to underclassmen is to take advantage of opportunities and to do silly things—then laugh about them later. When asked how he feels about graduating, he said, “I'm nervous, but I can't wait to go out into the world and try to make an impact somehow.” One thing he will miss about high school is having all his friends in one place. The person who has had the greatest influence on his life is Mr. Kinder because he is always challenging him, which helps him become a better student and person. He believes his biggest accomplishment so far is making it to state for FBLA.
