Mallary RyAnn Barks was born on August 10, 2006, to Stephen Barks and Chelsea Crader. She has five siblings: Kameron Garland, Trevor Crader, Daylynn Barks, Kaylynn Baker, and Alayna Baker. One of Mallary's favorite teachers is Mr. Layton because he gives good advice and always brightens her day with his jokes. Other favorite teachers include Mrs. Gaines and Mrs. Johnson, who both make her laugh, and Mrs. Dambach, who always comes up with fun activities for advisory. Mallary’s favorite staff quote comes from Mr. Layton: “I’m rooting for you.” Three words she would use to describe herself are kind, athletic, and funny. If Mallary could travel anywhere in the world, she would choose the Canary Islands because they are peaceful and beautiful. Her favorite school memory is homecoming week each year. When she was younger, she wanted to be a teacher. Mallary now plans to attend Southern Illinois University (SIU) to major in Dental Hygiene.
Mallary is involved in Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and Pep Club. Mallary also participates in softball, volleyball, and basketball. Her advice to underclassmen is, “Try to be involved in everything; you will make more memories and friends.” Mallary feels excited yet nervous about graduating. She is ready to start a new chapter, but she will miss high school, especially seeing her friends every day and playing sports. The people who have greatly influenced Mallary are her grandma Judy and her parents, as they work hard and do their best to help her succeed. She feels her greatest accomplishment so far is managing to maintain good grades while being a full-time athlete.
