Janelle Deziray Fox was born on October 6, 2006, to parents Jeniese Boyer and David Fox. She has six siblings: Emma, Ely, Cole, Cameron, Nolan, and Laney. Janelle’s favorite teacher is Ms. Page because, “She has always been there for me; she’s my shoulder to cry on, and she never judges me. She always reminds me to be myself because, in the end, that’s what matters most.” Her favorite staff quote is from Mr. Shrum: “Trust the awesomeness.” In three words, Janelle would describe herself as artistic, bold, and outgoing. If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would go to the tropical beaches of the Caribbean because “I want to relax on the beach while soaking up the sun.” Janelle’s favorite school memory is when Mr. Shrum gave the students a pep talk in Ms. Page’s room right before they announced the winner of the spirit stick during her junior year. Her most embarrassing moment in high school occurred on the way home from the Beta Trip in Savannah, Georgia, when she screamed and cried after Ben accidentally slammed her foot in the van door.
As a child, Janelle dreamed of becoming a supermodel. After high school, she plans to start her own cleaning business and travel across the United States while exploring different career fields until she finds the one that suits her best. Janelle is involved in the Pep Club, BETA Club, FFA, and softball. Her advice to underclassmen is, “Don’t let the small things stress you out because life moves on.” She feels both excited and scared about graduating, as she is unsure of what career path to pursue. What she will miss most about high school is seeing her friends and Ms. Page every day. Janelle identifies her older sister Emma as her greatest influence, saying, “She’s always pushed me to try new things and to work toward a better future for myself. Even while away at college, she is still here for me when I need her, and I appreciate her more than she knows.” Janelle considers her biggest accomplishment so far to be serving as the Senior Leadership Representative and competing at the Leadership Summit, where she faced her fear of speaking in front of people.
