Ally Whitener was born on April 17, 2004. She is the daughter of Douglas and Kelly Whitener. She has one sibling, Layne Whitener. Ally is involved in FFA, FBLA, FCA, FCCLA, Beta, and Pep Club. She is also a part of Woodland’s Volleyball and Basketball teams. Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Johnson, Ms. Braswell, and Mr. Ridings. Pink is her favorite color, and her favorite food is hot wings.
When Ally was younger, she wanted to be a firefighter, she now plans on going to college to become a dental hygienist. Her favorite high school memories are “Winning back-to-back district championships in volleyball and participating in all of the homecoming weeks.” She says her most embarrassing memory is “When I fell off of the bus at Puxico when I was on crutches.” The thing she will miss most about high school is seeing her friends and playing in sports. When asked about her thoughts on graduating, Ally said she is sad that it is almost over, but is excited for her next journey in life. Her advice to underclassmen is to enjoy every moment you can, because it goes by way too fast. Her biggest accomplishments are getting all-district 3 years in a row for volleyball and getting 1000+ assists. The people who have had the greatest influence in her life are her parents. She says that “they are my best friends and have pushed me to become who I am today and be a better person.”
Ally would like to shout out her parents, her brother Layne, her grandparents, and Lane VanGennip.
