On Friday, April 12th, Woodland High School students attended Future Teacher Day at Southeast Missouri State University. Students had the opportunity to visit with College of Education instructors and students enrolled in the education programs, collaborate with students from local high schools, experiment with STEAM activites in the Edvolution Center, and tour the entire campus. #CardinalPride #rootEdMissouri









Juniors Hannah Vawter and Tenielle Melendy participated in the Black River Electric Cooperative Essay and Speech Competition. Hannah Vawter placed first and will be traveling to Washington, DC, this summer for a week, all expenses paid trip! Tenielle Melendy placed third and received $100! REMINDER: Freshman Orientation for Woodland 8th Graders & families is Monday!

ATTENTION: For students enrolling in SEMO's Dual Credit classes next fall, a representative from SEMO Early College will be at Woodland on Monday, April 15, 2024, beginning at 12:30 PM to assist students with their registrations. Students will need their social security numbers and parent/guardian contact information to register.

The Junior Class will take the ACT for free on Tuesday, April 9th beginning at 8:00 am. Taking the ACT may help with acceptance to many colleges and trade schools and may earn students scholarships to help pay for post-secondary education. Earning a 22 or above on the ACT will qualify students to take SEMO Dual Credit classes for free during high school.
